This statement is heartfelt and sincere and we hope that you interpret it this way. We would like to thank Steering Committee member Brittany Means Carowick for further reminding us to thank all of young people who participated in the 2018 conference. We recognize how important you are to ASA both now and for the future.

This statement lays out multiple ways for you to become more engaged with ASA. We neglected to include the need for an Awards Committee chair. If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact Brittany Means Carowick at bameans@gmail.com.

Thank you,

The Appalachian Studies Association Steering Committee
