Call for Applications for 2019-2020 Wilma Dykeman Fellowship

The Wilma Dykeman “Faces of Appalachia” Post-doctoral Research Fellowship, which provides $3,000 to support research related to gender, race, and/or ethnicity in Appalachia, is awarded annually when funding is available. Members of the Appalachian Studies Association who have earned a doctoral degree from an accredited institution within the past seven years are eligible to apply. Fellowship applicants must have been members of ASA for one year prior to applying and must maintain membership throughout the course of the fellowship period. Current or recent ASA officers and Steering Committee members are not eligible to apply. No person may receive the fellowship more than one time.
